WIKI MAKING - FAQ

GETTING STARTED MAKING YOUR PAGE

Always login first.

Go to the Science Classes link.

Click on the STEM FAIR PROJECTS link for your grade.

Click on the NEW button

Click CREATE A PAGE

Put your last names in the title

Click Create Page.

Your page will now be in the list of pages that are available in the STEM FAIR PROJECTS folder for your grade.

You can only edit your page when you click on the EDIT tab.

You must always SAVE.

To  add images, click on IMAGES AND FILES on the right hand side of the page. Then, once your image is uploaded, you can drag it onto your page. Make sure you are uploading files with a unique name.

To upload video files, click on INSERT. Then click on  VIDEO. Then click, on UPLOAD VIDEO. Find the video file you have saved on your computer. Then click SUBMIT. It may take awhile, and you’ll need to make sure you save changes when you are done.

 

 

There are lots of cool things about wiki pages. You can edit them from any computer. Multiple people can edit a page. You can upload video clips, audio clips. PowerPoint and Prezi presentations, and other things you create with Web 2.0 programs. You can even leave questions on a wiki and have all of your friends respond.

You can easily share videos on a wiki. To upload a Check out this video which describes what a wiki is, and how one works. To insert a video, follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Insert" icon above.

2. Click "Video"

3.Click "Upload video"

4. Find where your video is saved and upload it and save it.
